The format for the State Schools Cup has changed this year to fit the SSP boundaries.
Schools will play a local N Somerset knockout cup in Yr 8,9,10 and 11 to determine the Top 2 schools. The Top 2 will then progress on to a 'Super 8's' comp aginst the Top 2 from the other 3 UA's (S Glos, B&NES and Bristol).
This will replace the existing Bristol & S Glos Comp. The Somerset Cup will be for schools in the county of Somerset only (ie NOT B&NES or N Som).

PLAY BY DATES:
Rd of 16 matches: PLAYED BY 9th Oct
Rd of 8, Quarter finals: PLAYED BY 23rd Oct 09
Rd of 4, Semi finals: PLAYED BY 13th Nov
Top 2 teams progress to Super 8's starting 16th Nov

Basic rules

- If a team is not able to play within the time frame - a W/O will be given.
- Players are not allowed to play up an age group in the local cup. Once progression is made to the Super 8's - this will be reviewed.
- It is the winning teams responsibility to input the result via this website.
- An agreement between the 2 schools should be made as to who has the Home Draw (based on facilities available, finish time of school, transport budget etc). If an agreement can not be reached, the team who progressed first (or who is above in the draw) receives the home draw.
- Referees should be neutral if possible - or one from each school/half a game each.
